Private 1st Class, United States Army, Retired

A retired Fort Myers resident, Private First Class Dale Riggs joined the United States Army in 1950 when he was only 17 years old. Immediately deployed to Korea, Riggs was assigned to the 52nd Medical Battalion and for the first five months worked as an ambulance driver. After the war, Riggs left the army and worked for General Motors. He moved to Florida with his family in 1995.
