A retired Port Charlotte resident, Chief Master Sergeant Joe L. Dinish had just finished his first year in college when he was drafted to Korea where he served two and a half years in the U.S Army – 3rd Infantry Division, Medical Battalion. Upon his return to the United States, Dinish resumed his studies. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and continued to work in the medical field for 37 years before retiring to Florida in 2007.
